Lotus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Orlando, FL is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. You will assess referred patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct patient care under physician direction.

You will supervise OT Assistants, ensure accurate documentation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited OT program.
• Must hold a valid OT license and registration.
• Oversee OT Assistants in daily operations.
• Experience with long-term care/geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation and writing skills.
• Collaborate with disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Punctual, professional and reliable in workplace

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and develop treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care and set goals according to patient capacity.
• Document patient status and progress notes; manage re-certification and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on therapy approaches.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and ensure quality care.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and ethical standards.

Occupational Therapist

Lotus Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for talented full-time Occupational Therapists to join our ever-growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred
• Well versed with documentation/ writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
