Job summary

Northwest Nursing Center in Oklahoma City is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (PRN) to assess residents, develop treatment plans and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

You will conduct regular screenings, establish therapy schedules, document care and ensure compliant billing, while supporting staff and supervising COTA as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s) required.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine best interventions or treatments.
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans with short- and long-term goals.
• Interpret and communicate findings and plans to residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with team cooperation.
• Conduct therapy per plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of OT services.
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure documentation and treatments meet reimbursement practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by facility leadership.

• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Administrator of the facility or Director of Rehabilitation.
