Job summary

Oceanside Care Center in New York is seeking a full-time, contracted Licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team of health professionals in providing excellent care in our facility.

Candidates must have strong organizational and time management skills. 2 years experience in long-term care preferred. All employees must be vaccine-compliant and wear a mask in the building. Responsibilities include evaluating residents, developing treatment plans, and maintaining detailed care documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.
• Experience in Long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Residents and develop a treatment plan that will meet their needs.
• Choose activities that will help Residents carry out daily tasks independently.
• Monitor Residents as they carry out assigned tasks.
• Observe and assess Residents' progress and prepare detailed reports accordingly.
• Help rehabilitate Residents disabled by injury, illness or other problems.
• Maintain documentation of Resident care services by auditing records.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams and contribute to the team effort.
