Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy Services team. The OT will evaluate, treat, and document patient progress per approved care plans, while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and prioritizing patient needs.

The role emphasizes timely documentation, participation in orientations, and readiness to perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor. This on-site position supports our post-acute care residents nationwide.

Qualifications

• Valid OT license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited OT program; NBCOT exam eligibility or passed.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, assessments, and treatments per OT care plan.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Follow policies and procedures related to the scope of practice.
• Identify priorities in patient care and respond with sound judgment.
• Attend required orientations, in-services, and trainings on schedule.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with policy and the individualized occupational therapy care plan
• Complete all documentation and records in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow established policies and procedures as related to the scope of practice
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care showing initiative and sound judgment
• Complete all required orientations, in-services, and trainings successfully and in a timely manner
• Performs other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid professional OT license in the state of practice
• Graduate of ACOTE accredited school and eligible to take or has passed the NBCOT exams (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy). If foreign-trained, must meet the same qualifications as U.S. educational program requirements
