Job summary

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in New York, NY. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients’ functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to improve independence in daily activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing rehabilitative therapy, documenting progress, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and educating patients, caregivers, and families. The role involves working with diverse populations across the lifespan, potentially including pediatrics, adults, and older adults in various rehabilitation settings. The Occupational Therapist will uphold Theradynamics’ standards of professional ethics, clinical excellence, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical expertise in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement evidence-informed treatment plans.
• Foundational knowledge of Medicine and related healthcare concepts to support safe, integrated, and coordinated patient care.
• Excellent Communication skills for interacting with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Experience or interest in working with Pediatrics and other age groups, adapting interventions to developmental and functional needs.
• Current state license (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist in New York; graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Strong documentation skills, time management, and organizational abilities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and inclusive, non-discriminatory patient care.
• CPR certification and familiarity with electronic medical records are preferred.
