Job summary

Lawrence Rehabilitation Hospital in New Jersey is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our full-time team. You will deliver skilled therapy to restore independence and function, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a patient-centered environment.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment planning, adaptive equipment training, and ongoing progress monitoring to achieve meaningful outcomes for residents in our 60-bed facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New Jersey.
• Minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Strong ability to assess, analyze, and utilize clinical data to support decision-making and improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computer tools including Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify daily living challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve independence, safety, and quality of life.
• Help patients relearn or adapt skills for daily living, work, school, or leisure.
• Recommend, train, and educate patients on adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans based on clinical findings and goals.
• Collaborate with families, physicians, nurses, and the inter-disciplinary team to support outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory and facility standards.
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to discharge planning.

Responsibilities for Occupational Therapist:

Qualifications for Occupational Therapist:

• A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Strong ability to assess, analyze, and utilize clinical data to support effective decision-making and performance improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
