Job summary

Lawrence Rehabilitation Hospital in Lawrence Township, New Jersey, is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a full-time position. The role offers an all-inclusive hourly rate of $37–$55 with daily pay and a supportive, patient-centered environment focused on restoring independence and function.

The OT will assess, plan, and implement therapies, educate on adaptive equipment, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve meaningful outcomes. NJ licensure or eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current New Jersey OT license or eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Strong ability to assess, analyze, and utilize clinical data for decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify daily living challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve independence and safety.
• Help patients relearn or adapt skills for daily living and work tasks.
• Educate patients on adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans based on findings and goals.
• Collaborate with families, physicians, nurses, and the care team.

Responsibilities for Occupational Therapist

• Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify challenges in performing activities of daily living.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve independence, safety, and quality of life.
• Help patients relearn or adapt skills needed for daily living, including self-care, work, school, or leisure activities.
• Recommend, train, and educate patients on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Collaborate with families, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care.

Qualifications for Occupational Therapist

• A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Strong ability to assess, analyze, and utilize clinical data to support effective decision-making and performance improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
