Flagship Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time role at Kirkwood Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in New Braunfels, TX. You will join an in-house therapy team and contribute to facility-level decisions in a supportive environment.

The position emphasizes delivering medically necessary treatments and generating comprehensive discharge summaries while upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• OT license is required.
• New Grads are welcome. Open to OTs at all experience levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care, developing care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Regular standing and walking; occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment.
• Administer procedures as part of rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Generate discharge summaries complying with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications
