Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist to coordinate restorative and rehabilitative OT services, collaborating with the IDT to maximize independence and safety in activities of daily living.

This role offers lower patient volumes, long-term relationships with participants, and collaboration with other therapists and providers. Compensation includes base pay plus bonus, with a comprehensive benefits package and unlimited CEUs through MedBridge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy required; Master’s degree preferred.
• California OT license required or license eligibility.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire (preferred at start).

Responsibilities

• Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments in the facility and home as needed.
• Participate in IDT meetings to develop participant care plans.
• Deliver and document restorative and functional interventions per care plans.
• Provide active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait and assist with ADLs.
• Train Therapy Assistants to implement Functional Maintenance Programs.

At WelbeHealth, each participant of our program is guided by our interdisciplinary team (IDT) - composed of clinical and non-clinical members who work cohesively to provide quality patient-centered care. The Occupational Therapist coordinates and provides restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services, working closely with the PACE Physician, rehabilitation staff, and other IDT members to maximize participant independence and safety, as well as enhance performance of ADLs.

On The Day-to-day, You Will

• Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments in our facility and occasionally in the home to define participant care needs, preferences, and goals
• Actively participate in IDT meetings to develop participant care plans
• Deliver and document interventions as agreed upon in participant care plans
• Provide active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, and functional training of ADLs
• Work with Therapy Assistants, providing training, instruction, and guidance needed to implement Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP)

Job Requirements Include

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy; master’s preferred
• Valid California Occupational Therapy License, or proof of license eligibility
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred
