Foothills Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Maryville, TN is seeking a dedicated, full-time Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program. You will work with a supportive team to provide meaningful therapy and help clients progress toward recovery.

This role emphasizes compassionate care and adherence to regulatory standards. As part of our on-site rehab team, you will screen and treat patients with physical functioning disorders, document progress, and collaborate with families

Qualifications

• OT license is required.

• Stand and walk regularly; occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning patients/equipment.
• Administer procedures as part of rehab plan: manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, modalities, devices, wound care.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Foothills Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Maryville, TN, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist license is required.
• Open to Occupational Therapists at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
