Job summary

About The Role

The Occupational Therapist will have the ability to accurately evaluate students' performance capacities and deficits relative to development, sensory motor, gross motor, fine motor, activities of daily living, muscle strength, range of motion, postural reflexes and needs for adaptive equipment in those areas determined by the therapist to be appropriate. This role will also provide high quality therapy sessions consistent with IEP recommendations.

Qualifications Desired

• Bachelors or advanced degree from a certified school of Occupational Therapy


• Valid State of Michigan LARA license as an Occupational Therapist


• Knowledge of special education programming, and of the approach, methodology, and techniques for delivering OT in the school setting


• Interpersonal skills which promote positive personal relationships with students, parents, staff and community is required
