Job summary

Ionia County Intermediate School District is seeking an Autism Program Teacher for a Balanced Calendar position starting ASAP. The role emphasizes development and implementation of student IEPs and delivering high-quality instruction to students with disabilities.

The candidate will collaborate with staff, health aides, agencies, parents and administrators, and may apply ABA concepts to support student growth and engagement across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate required
• Experience or training in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
• Balanced calendar schedule knowledge preferred
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and motivate students
• Strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, staff and community

Salary Range: $50,133 - $94,040; based on the IIEA Master Agreement

Affiliation: Ionia Intermediate Education Association (IIEA)

About the Role

To provide high quality, specially designed instruction to students with disabilities. The Teacher will focus on development and implementation of student IEP’s, planning and implementation of daily instructional activities, monitoring student progress and providing consultation to staff, health care aides, agencies, parents and administrators.

Qualifications Desired

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate, with approval by the Michigan Department of Education in an area of special education (All endorsement areas considered)
• Training/experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
• Ability to work a balanced calendar schedule
• Ability to program for and motivate students to develop to their fullest potential in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains
• Interpersonal skills which promote positive personal relationships with students, parents, staff and community is required
