The Center for Childhood Development in West Michigan is seeking a full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Holland, MI team. You will evaluate children, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions addressing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional play skills.

Qualifications

The Center for Childhood Development is a multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment center located in West Michigan, dedicated to supporting children and their families. The team includes occupational, speech, and physical therapists with extensive experience working with children from birth through adolescence. Services are designed to address a wide range of developmental, sensory, motor, and communication needs in a collaborative environment. The Center emphasizes family involvement, evidence-based practices, and individualized care plans to help children reach their fullest potential.
Role Description
The Occupational Therapist will provide direct, on-site therapeutic services to pediatric clients at our Holland, MI location in a full-time capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional play skills. The role involves ongoing collaboration with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to set goals, monitor progress, and adjust treatment strategies as needed. The Occupational Therapist will document services, maintain accurate records, participate in team meetings, and contribute to family education and training to support carryover of skills in home and community settings.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation for pediatric populations.
  • Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine and Pediatrics relevant to child development and therapeutic care.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for collaborating with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Relevant qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include prior pediatric clinical experience, familiarity with sensory integration approaches, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
