Job description

Provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment and education. Monitors the treatment plans of inpatients and outpatients. Collaborates with the rehabilitation team to provide optimal patient care.

Essential Job Functions

• Completes evaluations using appropriate tools consistent with patient history and diagnosis, in accordance with standards of care and practice.
• Collaborates with members of the healthcare team to ensure evaluations are performed safely and accurately.
• Establishes long‑term and short‑term patient goals which are realistic, measurable, and address functional needs; goals are documented upon completion of treatment.
• Plans and provides treatment to patients as appropriate, in accordance with standards of care and practice.
• Serves as a clinical resource to staff, hospital, community, and departmental committees.
• Follows hospital exposure‑control plans for blood‑borne and airborne pathogens.
• Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times; follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
• Ensures regular and predictable attendance.
• Communicates with patients, families, and co‑workers in person, in writing, and over the telephone.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Previous clinical/rehabilitation experience is preferred.
• Idaho State license (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist.
• CPR certification, or completed within 30 days of hire.

Full time, 40 hours per week.
