Job summary

Indiana Fitness Works Inc. is seeking a licensed Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our Indiana-based team in Gas City. You will evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral and design patient-specific treatment plans.

The role involves supervising COTA, coordinating with physicians and rehabilitation staff, maintaining daily treatment records, and supporting a full-time schedule with benefits for eligible employees. CPR certification and Indiana licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Indiana to practice OT.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy college.
• Evidence of continued education within the profession encouraged (AOTA membership).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient within 24 hours of written referral after receipt.
• Develop patient-specific programs according to diagnosis and patient age.
• Plan, administer and supervise the COTA in the treatment plan.
• Communicate with referring physician and rehabilitation team about total treatment program.
• Maintain accurate daily records of treatments given to patients.
• PRN duties as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a licensed Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) to work .

Requirements for a Registered Occupational Therapist:

• Be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy college
• Display evidence of interest in continued education within the profession and is encouraged to be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Organization (AOTA)
• Must be licensed in the State of Indiana to practice OT
• May be responsible for supervising/training personnel such as COTA
• CPR Certified or willing to obtain certification
• Previous experience in home health or in a health care setting is recommended but not required

Responsibilities for a Registered Occupational Therapist:

• Follow receipt of a doctor’s referral, the therapist is responsible for evaluating the patient within 24 hours of written referral
• Recommend programs will be patient specific to diagnosis according to the type/age of patient under program
• After evaluating the patient, the therapist is responsible for planning, administering and supervising the COTA in an appropriate treatment plan
• Will communicate with the referring physician and member of the rehabilitation team regarding the patient’s total treatment program.
• Will maintain an accurate daily record of treatments given to patients
