Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

• Active Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OTD, MOT, or BSOT) – new graduates and experienced OTs encouraged to apply
• Strong knowledge of outpatient rehabilitation, including orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and functional skills training
• Excellent patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team-based outpatient environment
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)

Preferred

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic, neurological, or post-surgical rehab
• Experience with manual therapy, adaptive equipment, or splinting
• Experience using EMR systems
• Experience with aquatic therapy, lymphedema therapy, or pelvic health therapy

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Rehabilitation, you will help patients regain independence and functional abilities for daily living, work, and leisure. You’ll design individualized therapy plans, deliver hands‑on interventions, and provide patient and family education in a supportive outpatient clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive OT evaluations including functional mobility, ADLs, fine motor skills, cognition, and strength
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide hands‑on therapy including ADL training, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, splinting, aquatic therapy, lymphedema management, and pelvic rehab
• Track patient progress and document accurately in EMR systems
• Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention, and long‑term wellness
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional outpatient clinic environment
