Job summary

Home Health of Western Colorado in Montrose, CO seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver pediatric home health services, evaluating and treating clients per physician orders, and collaborating with families and the care team.

The OT must be licensed in Colorado, have at least one year of OT experience, and hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. This full-time, M-F 8am-5pm position includes travel to clients’ homes and a supportive, mission-driven work culture.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or registered in the state of Colorado as an Occupational Therapist.
• Graduate from an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the AMA and the American Occupational Therapy Association or is eligible for certification.
• A minimum of one year experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Looking for a candidate with Pediatric Experience.
• The Occupational Therapist will provide ongoing therapy to clients in a timely manner per physician’s orders.
• Communicate progress within the agency of client progress.
• The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats clients, communicates with families, physicians and other health team members and maintains appropriate documentation of services and complying with State and Federal regulations.
• Evaluates clients and provides Occupational Therapy upon the written order of the client‘s attending physician.
• Manages and supervises the Occupational Therapy assistants and/or rehabilitation aides in direct client care and client-related activities.
• Plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates the Occupational Therapy offered by the department (i.e.: assist with scheduling, transportation, filing, and mailing).
• Performs other duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
• Comply with the Occupational Therapy Practice Act in the state.

Pay Range: $46- $52 per hour based on previous work experience.
Schedule: M-F 8am- 5pm

Travel: This position requires travel to our client‘s homes. Paid Mileage!
