Job Description

• Build a strong Occupational Therapy program
• Optimize the functionality and skills of patients
• Evaluate and treat residents based on physician written orders
• Screen facility residents
• Complete all necessary documentation
• Attend required meetings and in-services, including family meetings, care plans, staffing, and utilization review
• Develop programs with the Director of Rehabilitation tailored to residents' needs across the continuum of care
• Follow infection control procedures, environmental protocols, and OBRA Resident’s Rights Guidelines
• Provide consultation and clinical supervision to COTAs
• Maintain valid state license and stay informed on OT and healthcare issues
• Schedule residents appropriately
• Conduct family and staff in-services and educational sessions
• Assist the facility in meeting standards for state and federal certification
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills

• Strong time management and caseload management abilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• Current NBCOT certification if required by state

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in Senior Living environments
• Knowledge of PDPM
• Experience with therapy software/EMR such as Net Health
