Job summary

Jefferson-Lewis-Hamilton-Herkimer-Oneida BOCES seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to students in Jefferson or Lewis County, starting as soon as possible. The role involves creating a safe therapy environment, recording progress, collaborating with general education staff, and maintaining close communication with parents.

Eligible candidates must be NYS licensed and familiar with AOTA standards, school-based therapy, and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• NYS Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Knowledge of the AOTA Standards and Practices.
• Knowledge of school-based therapy.
• Experience with diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students with disabilities as well as those identified as benefiting from service.

LOCATION: Initial assignment in a Component District or Center-based classroom in Jefferson or Lewis County

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Commensurate with certification/experiencein keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES ProfessionalAssociation.
