Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations and treatments for inpatient and/or outpatient services. You will document thoroughly and ensure timely, accurate service delivery within the UHS Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation department at Upper Front Street.

The role requires an accredited OT degree and NYS licensure eligibility, CPR within 3 months, and NBCOT certification is preferred. Day shift, 40 hours weekly, in the Southern Tier of New York.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent.
• NYS license or eligibility to be licensed as an occupational therapist.
• CPR certification within the first 3 months of employment.
• NBCOT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for inpatient and/or outpatient services.
• Complete clinical documentation and maintain service delivery standards.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and reliable OT services.
• Collaborate with the UHS Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation team and support quality processes.

Position Overview

Ensures that occupational therapy services are administered and completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Provides occupational therapy patient evaluations and treatments for inpatient and/or outpatient services, as well as associated clinical documentation. Maintains specific service delivery standards which address commitment to service, customer satisfaction, ongoing evaluation of customer expectations, integration with quality process, communication and interaction standards, turn-around time and information processing standards, corporate compliance requirements, and physical amenities/environment of care.

Compensation Range:
$37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

Minimum Required

• Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy, receiving applicable degree or certificate in occupational therapy course of study, with Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent.

Preferred

• Master’s Degree: Clinical experience in a hospital-based setting.

License/Certification

Minimum Required

• Possession of a NYS license or eligibility to be licensed as an occupational therapist.
• CPR certification within first 3 months of employment.

Preferred

• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certified.
