Job summary

Mab Community Services is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Vision Rehabilitation and Allied Health team. This role serves individuals with vision loss, ABI, and waiver program participants, delivering services in clients’ homes and community settings to maximize independence and safety.

You will conduct home safety assessments, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with families and healthcare teams to support daily living skills and quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapy license.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience with ABI, vision/low-vision rehabilitation, home health, or community-based rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional, vision rehabilitation, and home safety assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications.
  • Provide training in compensatory strategies, low-vision techniques, and independent living skills.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Complete required clinical documentation and care coordination.

This unique community-based position serves individuals experiencing vision loss, acquired brain injury (ABI), and participants enrolled in waiver programs.
