Job summary

Growing Minds Therapy in Auburn, ME is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our pediatric team. You will evaluate and treat children with developmental and sensory needs, and develop individualized treatment plans rooted in evidence-based practice.

Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, physicians, schools, and families. You will educate caregivers and provide home programming to support carryover in daily life.

Qualifications

• Current Maine Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility).
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat pediatric clients with developmental and sensory needs.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Collaborate with SLPs, PTs, physicians, schools, and families.
• Provide caregiver education and home programming to promote carryover.
• Complete timely documentation using our electronic medical record.
• Participate in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

About Us

Growing Minds Therapy is a therapist-owned pediatric outpatient clinic providing occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and physical therapy services to children from birth through adolescence. We serve children with developmental delays, sensory processing differences, autism, feeding challenges, motor delays, orthopedic conditions, and a variety of other diagnoses.

With continued growth and the expansion into our newly renovated facility, we're excited to welcome another Occupational Therapist to our team.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate and treat pediatric clients with a variety of developmental and sensory needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice
• Collaborate closely with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, physicians, schools, and families
• Provide caregiver education and home programming to promote carryover
• Complete timely documentation using our electronic medical record
• Participate in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on helping children succeed

What We're Looking For

• Current Maine Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility)
• Passion for working with children and their families
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Pediatric experience is preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
