Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN is seeking an occupational therapist to provide outpatient 1:1 care to our community. You will assess patients, design and implement plans of care, document progress, and educate patients and families.

Licensure in Tennessee and BLS are required at hire. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with wellness programs and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee Occupational Therapist license.
• Basic Life Support certification is required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess a patient’s ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills. Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress. Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed. Seek consultation as necessary.
• Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provide information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervise and delegate the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.

Outpatient care is provided 1:1 with each patient.

How You’ll Contribute
