Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients, develop care plans and deliver evidence-based interventions aimed at promoting healing and independence.   • Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure thorough, timely documentation reflecting outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care and safe environments.
  • Lead by example, guiding therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare’s mission and excellence.

Teaches and mentors other staff and participates in the management of resources for patient care and organizational improvement. May provide services off-site within the scope of the job description as needed by the department.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Preferred Education: None
  • Required License: Current North Carolina license to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Preferred License: None
  • Required Experience: None required – new graduate eligible
  • Preferred Experience: Clinical affiliations having a wide variety of acute care procedures, especially orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary and care of burns/open wounds are helpful.
