Job summary

IEP Corp in Apple Valley, California seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat residents in a skilled nursing facility, helping them reach independence and improve quality of life.

You will assess physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs, design personalized treatment plans, provide interventions, document progress, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, PTs and SLPs. A CA OT license and 2+ years in healthcare are required.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in California (CA OT license) is required.
  • Minimum 2 years healthcare experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Familiarity with current OT practice standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare software.

  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, resident goals, and physician directives.
  • Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions, such as therapeutic exercises, ADL training, cognitive retraining, and environmental modifications.
  • Monitor and document resident progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize resident outcomes.
  • Educate residents and families on OT objectives, treatment plans, and home exercise routines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of OT services provided.
  • Participate in team meetings, in-service training, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Stay updated on OT practices and regulations.

We are looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist to become a part of our team at a skilled nursing facility.   • Educate residents and their families on occupational therapy objectives, treatment plans, and home exercise routines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of the occupational therapy services provided.
  • Participate in team meetings, in-service training, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Stay updated on occupational therapy practices and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in California.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably within a skilled nursing facility.
  • Familiarity with current occupational therapy practice standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
