Job summary

Millennium Therapy in Ames, IA seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist for the Skilled Nursing setting. You will assess residents, craft care plans, and provide direct therapy within a collaborative rehab team.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Occupational Therapy with state licensure in the hire state.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.

• Strong time management, organization and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient/resident assessment and care planning.
• Delivers direct occupational therapy to a general rehab caseload.
• Participates in the clinical team process.
• Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff.
• Contributes to clinical program development and may supervise staff.

Occupational Therapist Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy and Professional Licensure in the state of hire; two years of clinical experience preferred.

Occupational Therapist Requirements

• Occupational Therapist provides patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload.
• Participates in the clinical team process.
• Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff.
• Involvement in clinical program development.
• Supervises other licensed occupational therapists, assistants, technicians, aides, and students as required. Some programs with two or more occupational therapists/assistants may provide additional administrative duties as assigned.
