Job summary

Avalon Health Care Group is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our Grays Harbor Health & Rehabilitation team in Aberdeen, WA. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and involves evaluating and treating residents to maintain or improve daily living skills.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement therapy plans, document progress, and support residents and families. WA licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in occupational therapy required.
• State licensure as an occupational therapist required.
• Experience with patients with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' abilities and develop treatment plans to improve or maintain daily living and work skills.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment like wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Develop and implement therapeutic activities to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and social workers to provide comprehensive care.
• Document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

$50.00 - $60.00 /hr

We are a skilled nursing facility that provides short term rehab and long term care. We understand the unique needs of those transitioning from an acute medical facility to home. The occupational therapist is responsible for helping residents with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.
