Job summary

Holder Construction seeks an Occupational Safety and Care Coordinator to join its Safety team on projects in La Grange, GA; Hampton, GA; and Atlanta, GA. This full-time, in-person role focuses on advocating for injured workers and managing the claims process with professionalism and precision.

The position requires 2–4 years of construction safety experience, OSHA familiarity, excellent communication, and travel within a three-hour radius.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of construction safety experience, including onsite claims handling.
  • Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1904 Subpart C - Recordkeeping Forms and Recording Criteria.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences - injured workers, subcontractor supervisors, clinic staff, and executives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and case management technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of care coordination for injured workers - accompanying them to medical appointments, navigating treatment options, and assisting with follow-up care from first visit through recovery.
  • Establish and maintain each project's panel of physicians, building relationships with partner clinics and occupational health providers.
  • Administer the claims and care process for onsite injuries, coordinating a consistent internal and external claims management process.
  • Lead thorough incident investigations with the safety team - compiling required documentation and ensuring accuracy.
  • Track incident data and claim trends, partner with Safety and Risk Management to identify patterns and drive improvements.
  • Maintain professional communication with leadership on claim status and updates.

About The Role

We are looking for an Occupational Safety and Care Coordinator to join our Safety team on our project(s) in La Grange, GA. Hampton GA. Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time, in-person. The Occupational Safety and Care Coordinator work at the intersection of human care and operational excellence - serving as the primary advocate and guide for injured workers while managing the claims process with professionalism and precision. This role works directly with the Safety Team, Risk Management Department, subcontractors, and third-party partners to deliver best-in-class experience from first report through return to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of care coordination for injured workers - accompanying them to medical appointments, navigating treatment options, and assisting with follow-up care from first visit through recovery
  • Establish and maintain each project's panel of physicians, building relationships with partner clinics, occupational health providers, and onsite/mobile medical services before incidents occur
  • Administer the claims and care process for any onsite injuries, coordinating a consistent internal and external claims management process
  • Lead thorough incident investigations alongside the project safety team - compiling required documentation, owning report submittals, and ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Track incident data and claim trends, partnering with Safety and Risk Management to identify patterns, flag risk factors, and drive proactive improvements
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with local, regional, and company leadership on claim status and updates
  • Act as an on-the-ground resource for workers and management on risk management policies, safety best practices, and available support options
  • Serves as the primary wellness contact supporting day-to-day program delivery and engagement
  • Delivers wellness content aligned with the Wellness Built for Life strategy, including toolbox talks, onboarding materials, campaigns, and resource toolkits
  • Facilitates Mental Health First Aid training and supports ongoing mental health awareness initiatives across assigned sites (maybe, maybe not)
  • Provides onsite support through presentations, events, and direct employee engagement
  • Partners with site leadership to deliver wellness updates and align programming with site needs
  • Identifies engagement trends, workforce needs, and opportunities for program enhancement
Qualifications
