Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a 1099 orthopedic surgeon to evaluate, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for work-related injuries. You will collaborate with physical therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and other staff under the supervision of an occupational medicine physician.

You will also engage employers in active case management. Requirements include MD or DO, Arizona license, DEA, BLS, malpractice insurance, and board certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. and an unrestricted Arizona medical license.
• Active DEA registration required
• Current BLS certification
• Current medical malpractice insurance coverage
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
• Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Background in occupational medicine, orthopedics, or outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients to diagnose bone, joint, ligament, or musculoskeletal problems from work-related injuries.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including physical therapy, medications, and possible surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Treat fractures and musculoskeletal conditions with injections, electrodiagnostic, and other therapies.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients about conditions and rehabilitation process.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR.
