Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Mobility Specialist (OMS) to support students during the 2026–2027 school year. This in-person, school-based role focuses on developing mobility skills for students with visual impairments in a dedicated educational setting.

The OMS will assess mobility needs, deliver individualized instruction, collaborate with teachers and therapists, and document progress.

Qualifications

• Experience providing mobility services to students preferred.

Responsibilities

Assignment Details

Position: Occupational Mobility Specialist (OMS)
Schedule: Full-Time
School Year: 2026–2027
Setting: In-person, school-based
Caseload: Specific caseload details will be discussed during the interview process
Pay Rate: $40-50/hr, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized mobility instruction and support to students within a school-based setting.

Required Qualifications

• AVCREP Certification or similar for the state of California.
• Experience providing mobility services to students preferred.
• Strong understanding of mobility instruction and strategies for supporting students with visual impairments.
• Ability to work effectively with students across a school-based environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in person for the duration of the assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired.
• Experience working in a school-based or educational setting.
• Familiarity with IEP teams and multidisciplinary student support services.
• Experience collaborating with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs), classroom teachers, and related service professionals.
• Strong ability to individualize instruction based on student needs.
