Shift: Day | Schedule: PRN | Weekly Hours: Varies | Starting Rate: $16.00 - $23.00

Job Summary

Provides administrative and clinical support within an assigned clinic unit. Maintains patient records, coordinates patient services, and serves as a point of contact for medical, nursing staff, patients, and internal and external company contacts. Performs clinical duties such as answering telephones, preparing and filing patient paperwork, ordering and storing supplies, and performing occupational medicine services in clinic and onsite locations. Responsible for greeting and directing patients, relaying information and messages, facilitating communication among healthcare providers, and updating patient health information. Performs routine testing, sampling, and other technical services to support Occupational Medicine and Employee Health Services. Additional responsibilities include hearing and vision screenings, drug testing specimen collection, breath alcohol testing, blood specimen collections, and other department duties.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient services and schedule tests, treatments, and consultations.
  • Maintain and update patient health records and file laboratory reports.
  • Prepare and submit occupational medicine documentation for workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Perform hearing and vision screenings, drug testing specimen collection, breath alcohol testing, and blood specimen collection.
  • Operate and maintain sampling equipment with sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external contacts.
  • Adapt quickly to changing circumstances and work independently with high accountability.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • Certification or training in occupational and employee health practice preferred (e.g., Unlicensed Assistive Personnel, Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Medical Examiners Certification, DATIA Certification, CAOHC, CNA).
  • Must obtain applicable certifications within six months of employment (if required).
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
  • Good medical terminology knowledge preferred.
  • Driver’s license (Category III) may be required depending on department.
