  • Work Shift: Day (United States of America)

Department Overview

Provides administrative and clinical support within an assigned clinic unit. Maintains patient records, coordinates patient services, and functions as a point of contact for medical and nursing staff, patients, and internal and external contacts. Performs clinical duties including answering telephones, preparing and filing patient paperwork, and ordering and storing supplies. Performs occupational medicine services within clinic and onsite locations per department workflow.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Greet and direct patients, relay information and messages to patients and staff, and facilitate communication among healthcare providers.
  2. Maintain and update patient health information, assemble, store, and retrieve patient records, and file test and lab reports.
  3. Coordinate patient services by scheduling tests, treatments, and consultations.
  4. Perform routine testing, sampling, and technical services to support Occupational Medicine and Employee Health Services as needed.
  5. Operate and maintain sampling equipment with high accountability and minimal supervision.
  6. Perform hearing and vision screenings, drug testing, breath alcohol testing, blood specimen collections, and other duties related to occupational medicine.
  7. Utilize basic computer skills and learn various programs used in care provision.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients and staff, demonstrating excellent oral and written skills.
  9. Adhere to confidentiality and safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or three years of equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Preferred certifications may include UAP, MA, CMA, Medical Examiners Certification, DATIA, CAOHC, or CNA, to be obtained within six months of employment if applicable.
  • Depending on the department, a driver’s license (Sanford Policy - Category III) may be required.
