Job summary

CORE is seeking an experienced Occupational Medicine Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at the Rayville, LA site. Full-time and PRN positions are available with a comprehensive benefits package.

The role focuses on treatment of work-related injuries, patient education, record maintenance, and adherence to occupational safety protocols. Prior occupational medicine or ER/family practice experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited nursing certificate program.
• Valid state RN licensure.
• Prior occupational medicine or ER/family practice experience preferred.
• Case Management experience is a plus; CAHOC, NIOSH PFT and DOT drug screening/BAT certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment of work-related injuries and documents effectiveness.
• Provides client education in safety, first aid, CPR and others as needed.
• Assures proper maintenance of patients' records.
• Performs client services related to Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
• Demonstrates a courteous, caring attitude towards patients, clients, co-workers and providers.
• Must be well organized and able to function in a team and independently with little supervision.
• Direct patient care includes wound care, suturing, splinting, ROM; heat/cold therapy; med administration.
• Other duties as assigned.
