Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine invites a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Rayville, LA location. This position supports work-related injury care, patient education, and health-monitoring across a busy occupational health setting.

The role requires an active RN license, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred experience in occupational medicine or ER/family practice. We offer competitive benefits and a comprehensive compensation package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited nursing certificate program.
• Valid state RN licensure required.
• Prior occupational medicine or ER/family practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment of work-related injuries and documents effectiveness.
• Provides client education on safety, first aid, CPR and related topics.
• Maintains patients' records accurately and timely.
• Performs client services related to Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
• Demonstrates courteous, caring attitude toward patients, clients, co-workers and providers.
• Organized, flexible, able to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, interruption-prone environment.
• Exhibits problem-solving skills and prioritizes tasks with limited resources.
• Excellent communication and basic clerical, computer, phone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Direct patient care: wound care, dressing, suturing, splinting and respiratory therapy as needed.

Position Responsibilities

• Administers treatment of work-related injuries and evaluates and documents its effectiveness.
• Provides client education in areas related to safety, first aid, CPR and others as needed.
• Assures proper maintenance of patients' records.
• Performs client services related to Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
• Demonstrates a courteous, caring and understanding attitude towards patients, clients, co-workers, visitors, volunteers, peers and medical providers.
• Must be well organized, flexible and able to function effectively as part of a cohesive team and independently with little supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, interruption prone environment.
• Demonstrates creative problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks utilizing limited resources.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer, clerical, phone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Direct patient care skills to include, but not limited to: assisting with wound cleansing, dressing and suturing; suture removal; splint application/removal; range of motion treatment; heat and cold therapy; medication administration; and respiratory treatment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

• High school Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and completion of an accredited nursing certificate program.
• Valid state RN licensure
• Prior occupational medicine or emergency room/family practice related work experience preferred.

Case Management experience is a plus along with certifications in CAHOC, NIOSH PFT and DOT drug screening collections/BAT
