Job summary

Jefferson Health and Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG) seek a Board Certified/Board Eligible Occupational Medicine Physician to join the established Occupational Medicine team in Tannersville, PA. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends and no call, supported by a strong administrative and clinical team.

Compensation is highly competitive with a recruitment loan, stipends during training, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Occupational Medicine preferred.
• Alternate pathway: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine with 3+ years of Occupational Medicine experience.
• CDME Certification, MRO Certification, PA licensure eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide DOT medical examinations.
• Perform Medical Review Officer (MRO) responsibilities.
• Conduct pre-employment and pre-placement physicals.
• Lead medical surveillance and fitness-for-duty evaluations.
• Evaluate and treat occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Manage workers' compensation and workplace health initiatives.
• Offer workplace ergonomic consultations and health programs.

Practice Highlights

Your Practice

Provide comprehensive occupational health services including:

• Department of Transportation (DOT) medical examinations

• Medical Review Officer (MRO) responsibilities

• Pre-employment and pre-placement physicals

• Medical surveillance examinations

• Fitness-for-duty evaluations

• Evaluation and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses

• Workers' compensation management

• Workplace consultations and ergonomic assessments

You'll be supported by experienced advanced practice clinicians, nurses, case managers, and dedicated office staff, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Occupational Medicine preferred

OR

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine with at least three years of Occupational Medicine experience

• Commercial Driver Medical Examiner (CDME) Certification

• Medical Review Officer (MRO) Certification (or willingness to obtain within six months)

• Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure
