Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks an Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) in New Brunswick, NJ for locum tenens support. Start ASAP with a pay rate of $72.75–$78.75 per hour. Work Monday–Thursday 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

and Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with no call. Outpatient occupational medicine in a non-hospital setting. Caseload is 20–25 patients per day including pre-placement exams, return-to-work clearances, worker injury assessments, medical surveillance, and fitness-for-duty evaluations.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in occupational medicine NP required.
• Must hold New Jersey medical license, CDS license, and DEA registration.
• Department of Transportation certification required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-placement physical examinations.
• Return-to-work clearances and workers' compensation follow-ups.
• Worker injury assessments and medical surveillance.
• Health screenings and substance testing.
• Fitness-for-duty examinations and follow-ups.

Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP)

This facility is seeking a Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: Monday–Thursday 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; no call. Coverage is 2–3 days per week for one provider, with another provider covering the remaining days.

Practice Setting: Outpatient Occupational Medicine; non-hospital setting

Types of Cases: 20–25 patients per day; pre-placement physical examinations, return-to-work clearances, worker injury assessments, medical surveillance, exposure treatments and follow-ups, health screenings, substance testing, fitness-for-duty examinations, and workers' compensation cases

Credentialing Timeframe: Faster onboarding because this is not a hospital

Certifications Required: Department of Transportation certification; senior-level experience required

Licensure Required: New Jersey medical license, Controlled Dangerous Substances license, and Drug Enforcement Administration registration
