Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage in a Maine outpatient primary care setting. Start date ASAP with schedule: October 5, 2026–April 30, 2027; no call and about 16 patients per shift. Certifications required: ACLS and BLS; board eligible; Maine licensure or IMLC.

Cerner EMR is used. Credentialing typically takes 60–90 days. AMN Healthcare arranges malpractice insurance and coordinates travel, lodging, and transportation

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Family Medicine focus.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; board eligible.
• Maine licensure or IMLC required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care with no call; ~16 patients per shift.
• Manage patient assessments, diagnoses, and care plans.
• Credentialing typically 60–90 days; Cerner EMR documentation.

This facility is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: No call; October 5, 2026–April 30, 2027

Practice Setting: Outpatient primary care

Types of Cases: General Family practice, Approximately 16 patients per shift

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days, unless temporary approval is given

Electronic Medical Record: Cerner

Certifications Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support; Board Eligible required

Licensure Required: Maine or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
