Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Occupational Health Technician to manage pre-employment processing, regulatory tasks, drug testing, fit testing, and color blindness screening. You will support EHR documentation, record management, and scheduling, with travel to multiple sites as needed.

The role requires strong administrative and technical skills in occupational health, attention to regulatory detail, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 4+ years advanced secretarial experience or 1+ year in clinical office management or medical assisting in a clinic.
• Proficient in English (read, write, speak).
• Advanced word processing, Excel, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint or similar software.
• Proficient with standard office equipment and software programs.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Completes and documents non-licensed tasks for new hires and associates (drug screen, fit testing, color blindness).
• Answers phones and manages mail and email to meet department expectations.
• Schedules appointments and maintains clinic calendars in the EHR.
• Travels to various facilities for on-site work, meetings, and training.
