SGS is seeking an experienced OHS Program Manager to lead the occupational health and safety strategy for the MTV campus and nearby locations. The role focuses on developing and continuously improving OHS programs that protect a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace while collaborating with business leaders, facilities, security, engineering, and global teams.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of occupational health and safety (OHS) experience in corporate, laboratory, manufacturing, technology, or similarly complex environments.
  • Experience managing OHS programs across multiple locations and business functions.
  • Experience implementing and overseeing regulatory compliance programs, risk assessments, incident management, and corrective action processes.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders, facilities teams, security, engineering, and employee services organizations.
  • Experience working within a matrixed, global organization and collaborating with regional and global stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities and provide strategic OHS guidance across diverse operations.

Job description

The MTV OHS Program Manager serves as the primary occupational health and safety leader for the customer's MTV campus and surrounding corporate locations. This role is devoted to a single customer account and is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving OHS programs that support a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace. Working collaboratively with business leaders, facilities, security, engineering, and global OHS teams, the successful candidate will provide strategic guidance, manage risk, drive regulatory compliance, and help foster a strong culture of safety across a diverse and evolving work environment. As the organization grows, the scope of this role may expand to support additional U.S. locations.

Required:
  • 7+ years of occupational health and safety (OHS) experience in corporate, laboratory, manufacturing, technology, or similarly complex environments.
  • Experience managing OHS programs across multiple locations and business functions.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and overseeing regulatory compliance programs, risk assessments, incident management, and corrective action processes.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders, facilities teams, security, engineering, and employee services organizations.
  • Experience working within a matrixed, global organization and collaborating with regional and global stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities and provide strategic OHS guidance across diverse operations.
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting laboratory, technical, or research environments preferred.
  • ASP, CSP, CIH or similar, or ability to obtain such certification preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to assess workplace risks and develop practical risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, leaders, and technical subject matter experts.
  • Strong project management and program execution skills.
  • Data analysis and reporting capabilities to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global governance model while supporting local business needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
