Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
• Certification as an Occupational Health Nurse preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• At least three years of medical/surgical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial post-offer/pre-placement physical assessment and immunization review.
• Follows up on unusual findings with education, counseling, referrals, or work restrictions.
• Promotes health and safety of employees through education and health promotion.
• Evaluates return-to-work clearance and coordinates with supervisor on work restrictions.
• Assists in immunization and TB testing programs per policy and guidelines.
• Maintains employee health-related records and treatment logs; complies with regulations.
• Develops and revises Employee Health guidelines and procedures.
• Supports workers' compensation processes and liaison with physician/insurer.
