Job summary

Truman Medical Centers - University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Clinical Nurse RN to join our team. You will provide direct nursing care, perform assessments, care planning, and case management for our workforce across ambulatory and call center settings.

Responsibilities include managing COVID, Flu, RSV cases, coordinating testing, supporting safety programs and onboarding, and collaborating with physicians and staff to deliver

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Current BCLS certification
• For PRN roles: at least 1 year of medical/surgical experience or 1 year in a related specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care — assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each patient.
• Manage workforce member cases for COVID, Flu, and RSV, ensuring timely follow-up and recovery support.
• Coordinate testing efforts at UHTMC and UHLMC, and manage ongoing testing data for long-term care and administrative reporting.
• Support research and safety programs, including COVID data tracking and the PREVENT Research Project.
• Lead and assist with onboarding of new staff members, helping build a culture of safety and excellence.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, professional, and organizational standards while modeling integrity and service excellence.
• Collaborate across teams — patients, physicians, and healthcare colleagues — to deliver efficient, empathetic, and evidence-based care.
