Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Registered Nurse for Occupational Health on a contract basis for night shifts in Marion, NC. The role focuses on leading the facility's health program, immediate care for injuries, and compliance with OSHA and related regulations.

You will manage surveillance programs, coordinate with HR and providers, and deliver wellness initiatives while maintaining health records and supporting return-to-work processes. Nursing experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is valued.

Qualifications

• RN with current North Carolina license to practice required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a clinical nurse setting.
• BSN preferred.
• OH Certification preferred.
• Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in computer program use.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in CPR/first aid.

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer the facility's occupational health program to address workplace health risks and support employee wellbeing.
• Provide immediate care and assessment for workplace injuries and illnesses, including coordinating emergency medical response efforts.
• Manage occupational health surveillance programs (hearing conservation, respiratory monitoring, exposure management).
• Maintain confidential occupational health records and ensure OSHA and regulatory reporting compliance.
• Coordinate case management with healthcare providers, HR, managers, and insurers for timely return-to-work outcomes.
• Deliver health-related counseling, education, and wellness initiatives for employees and families.
• Collaborate with EHS teams to identify health hazards and implement risk reduction strategies.
• Support on-site drug testing and follow-up activities as appropriate.
• Conduct basic ergonomic assessments and work with EHS on injury risk reduction.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build relationships with external occupational health physicians and providers.
• Maintain required certifications and continuing education.

Hours:

Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), alternating schedule Sun/Wed/Thurs one week, then Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat the following week

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and administer the facility's occupational health program to address workplace health risks and support employee wellbeing.
• Provide immediate care and assessment for workplace injuries and illnesses, including coordinating emergency medical response efforts.

• Evaluate occupational health program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with external occupational health physicians and providers.
• Maintain required certifications and continuing education to support occupational health practice.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Registered nurse with current North Carolina license to practice required
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a clinical nurse setting
• BSN preferred
• OH Certification preferred

• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Certification in CPR/first aid
• Physically able to respond in emergency situations
• Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
• Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members.
