Job summary

Saint Louis University invites applications for an Occupational Health Program Manager to lead the university’s Occupational Health Program for staff and researchers. You will ensure compliance with health and safety standards and champion best practices to minimize occupational injuries.

The role collaborates with Research leadership, develops data-driven improvement strategies, maintains confidential records, and provides training, vaccinations, and health surveillance for OHP participants.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910, 1926, 1904, 1960).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and information systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and audit OHP services for the University.
• Formulate policies for health protection and worker surveillance to meet regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Research leadership to provide expert OHP guidance for lab/animal research staff.
• Develop data collection processes for improvement and communicate trends for action plans.
• Maintain a confidential records management system.
• Provide training, health surveillance, vaccinations, and sickness absence management for OHP participants.
• Stay current with guidance and regulations from bodies like OSHA and ACOEM.
