Saint Louis University is seeking an Occupational Health Program Manager to lead the university's occupational health program for laboratory and animal research. The role ensures regulatory compliance, improves health protection, and collaborates with researchers to support staff safety.

The ideal candidate has RN or ANP credentials with 4+ years in occupational safety and health, and a track record of policy implementation and data-driven improvements within a university environment.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP).
  • Four or more years of experience in occupational safety and health.
  • Preferred: experience in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health, health physics, biology, or related field.
  • Preferred: experience in federal government.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, and audits OHP services to ensure high quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Forms and evaluates health protection policies to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with Research leadership to guide OHP in lab/animal work.
  • Develops data collection and action plans to drive improvements.
  • Maintains confidential records management for OHP.
  • Contributes to training, vaccinations, respirator tests, and investigations.
  • Stays current with OSHA guidance and uses evidence-based practice.
  • Assists in creating new OHP services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
