Endeavor Health is seeking a full-time occupational health physician to join our Naperville market at Edward Hospital. The role includes treating work-related injuries, pre-placement exams, and workers’ compensation management.

Location: Naperville, IL; may travel to other market sites. Salary range $230,000-$269,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited and recognized medical school is required.
• Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.
• Board certification/Board eligible in area of expertise.
• DOT Certified MRO Certification is a plus.
• Experience in immediate care, urgent care, ER, or occupational health is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients.
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection.
• Shares healthcare duties with other physicians to ensure availability.
• Determines referrals based on examination and patient needs.
• Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs as appropriate.
• Documents all services in patient medical records.
• Oversees mid-level staff if assigned and supports nursing staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.

Endeavor Health is recruiting for a full-time occupational health physician. Exciting opportunity to join the occupational health team in our Naperville market at Edward Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care: Treat work-related injuries and illnesses and manage workers’ compensation cases.

Evaluations: Perform pre-placement, return-to-work, DOT, and fitness-for-duty exams.

Position Highlights

Position: EHMG Board Certified Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent care

Location: 120 Spalding Drive, Naperville, IL; may travel to other locations in the market.

Full Time - direct medical services 1800 hours per year.

Salary range: $230,000-269,000. The pay rate offered is determined within the pay range and is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to FTE, prior experience, certifications, degrees, subspecialties, projected volumes, and quality performance measures.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Level: Graduate of an accredited and recognized medical school required.
• Minimum Licensure Requirements: Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.
• Minimum Certification Requirements: Board certification/Board eligible in area of expertise.
• DOT Certified MRO Certification is a plus.
• BLS Minimum Work Experience Experience in immediate care, urgent care, ER, or occupational health required.

What you will do

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients in order to meet their medical needs.
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources for the patients and families.
• Shares health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure the availability of a physician at all times.
• Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs.
• Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments.
• Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care.
• Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
• Orders studies, test and ancillary services.
• Documents all services in patient medical record.
• Reviews on a regular basis long‑term cases that require ongoing medical attention.
• Consults with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues.
• Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic requirements.
• Oversees mid‑level medical staff if assigned as well as nursing clinical staff.
• Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patients.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
