Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
• Board certified or board eligible in area of expertise.
• DOT Certification required.
• MRO Certification is a plus.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients in order to meet their medical needs.
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources for the patients and families.
• Shares health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure the availability of a physician at all times.
• Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs.
• Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments.
• Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care.
• Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
• Orders studies, test and ancillary services.
• Documents all services in patient medical record.
• Participates in quality improvement and education programs.

Endeavor Health is recruiting for a full-time occupational health physician. Exciting opportunity to join the occupational health team in our Naperville market at Edward Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Treat work-related injuries and illnesses and manage workers’ compensation cases.
• Evaluations: Perform pre-placement, return-to-work, DOT, and fitness-for-duty exams.

Position Highlights

• Position: EHMG Board Certified Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent care
• Location: 120 Spalding Drive, Naperville, IL; may travel to other locations in the market.
• Full Time - direct medical services 1800 hours per year
• Easy access for patients through our health system, integrated via Epic EMR

• Salary range: $230,000-269,000. The pay rate offered is determined within the pay range and is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to FTE, prior experience, certifications, degrees, subspecialties, projected volumes, and quality performance measures.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level

• Graduate of an accredited and recognized medical school required.

Minimum Licensure Requirements

• Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.

Minimum Certification Requirements

• Board certification/Board eligible in area of expertise.
• DOT Certified
• MRO Certification is a plus
• BLS

Minimum Work Experience

• Experience in immediate care, urgent care, ER, or occupational health required

What You Will Do

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients in order to meet their medical needs
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources for the patients and families
• Shares health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure the availability of a physician at all times.
• Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs

• Orders studies, test and ancillary services
• Documents all services in patient medical record
• Reviews on a regular basis long-term cases that require ongoing medical attention
• Consults with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues
• Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic requirements
• Oversees mid-level medical staff if assigned as well as nursing clinical staff
• Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patients
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations
