Job summary

Premise Health in Swiftwater, PA is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Health Physician Assistant to provide care to client employees at our Health Center. The schedule is 32 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with no nights or weekends.

Responsibilities include injury and illness care, fitness-for-duty exams, OSHA/DOT compliance, patient education, diagnostic testing, and collaboration with physicians and the client to promote health and safety.

Qualifications

• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department.
• Experience in occupational health settings preferred.
• Experience performing site visits and working with safety teams to mitigate workplace hazards.

Responsibilities

• Injury and illness care, physical exams, urgent care for employees sick at work, and preventive health measures.
• Fitness-for-duty exams and return-to-work exams.
• Collaboration with TPA and client for case management and safety programs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Prescribe or recommend treatments and refer to specialists as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
