Job summary

Community Health Care in Tacoma, WA is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to oversee employee health programs, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance across our organization. The role focuses on immunizations, injury response, and infection prevention to keep our teams safe and healthy.

As part of the Quality team, you will partner with leadership and clinical staff to implement health policies, tracking and reporting on health data, and ensuring adherence to OSHA and other healthcare

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the State of Washington.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse in an employee health environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA and healthcare regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee health records, immunizations, TB testing, and onboarding health requirements.
• Coordinate employee vaccination programs, including annual influenza clinics.
• Respond to workplace exposures, injuries, bloodborne pathogen incidents, and communicable disease concerns.
• Administer return-to-work protocols and employee health follow-up activities.
• Oversee OSHA compliance, SDS management, and hazardous chemical training programs.
• Support N95 fit testing, staff education, and occupational health training initiatives.
• Serve as administrator for the Washington State Immunization Information System (WAIIS).
• Develop and maintain occupational health policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
• Analyze employee health data, prepare reports, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
