Sanford Health is seeking an Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced nursing care focused on prevention, evaluation, and management of work-related injuries and illnesses. The NP will collaborate with physicians, employers, safety personnel, and HR to promote employee health and safe return-to-work strategies.

Responsibilities include conducting pre-employment and return-to-work exams, FCEs, drug testing, vaccinations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current RN and Nurse Practitioner licensure in each state of practice.
• National board certification in family or adult-gerontology/adult primary care.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries and illnesses per occupational health standards.
• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work physical exams.
• Perform FCEs, drug/alcohol testing, TB screenings, immunizations, and other health surveillance exams.
• Collaborate with employers, safety personnel, and HR to support return-to-work planning.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, and chronic disease management.
• Maintain documentation compliant with OSHA/DOT and state/federal guidelines.
