Job summary

Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) in Corona, CA seeks an Occupational Therapist for outpatient orthopedic care. You will evaluate patients, plan and implement OT programs to enhance daily living skills, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

You will guide therapy, educate patients and families, reassess progress, and ensure documentation complies with regulations while delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, critical thinking, and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic care.
• Administer occupational therapy treatments including exercises, manual therapy, ADL training, and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, home exercises, and adaptive strategies to maximize independence.
• Regularly reassess patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and plans per regulatory standards.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team for coordinated care.
• Delegate to COTA when applicable.
• Foster a collaborative culture and adapt to schedule changes.

Education

About The Role

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing occupational therapy programs to help patients develop or regain daily living skills. Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress reports, and treatment plans according to regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation team members, to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Meet the needs of having patient execute Plan of Care including but not limited to following up with patients if noncompliance occurs
• Be a team player to utilize nonclinical staff to support needs of the caseload (IE play nice with aides and PSRs that help support the staff)
• Delegate to COTA when applicable
• Drive a collaborative culture based on our service vision
• Adapt to change in patient schedules and daily patterns
• Keep updated on advancements in occupational therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices, integrating them into clinical practice as appropriate

Skills & Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Previous experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
